Since the helix angle is large, the cutting efficiency is excellent in a liner filing action than a reaming action. The real shape of the section up to size 40 is square, and size 45 and above is triangular similarly to reamers. The cutting chips are thin, and made by a filing action in a direction of apex, and the wall is finished smoothly.
